Walking life's path together

A comprehensive approach to strengthening families and promoting child well-being.

We believe strong families are the heart of a healthy community. Island Lake First Nations Family Services offers a range of services to support families in connecting with their heritage and cultural traditions, while helping them live healthy and happy lives.

We provide services to families from Garden Hill Anisininew Nation, St. Theresa Point Anisininew Nation, Wasagamack Anisininew Nation, and Red Sucker Anisininew Nation.

Together, we can build a brighter future for our children and families. We work with our families to strengthen cultural identity, create a supportive network and keep families together.

Sometimes, even the strongest families need a helping hand.

Stable,nurturing homes

Keeping families together.

Island Lake First Nations Family Services prioritizes keeping families together whenever possible because a child's sense of belonging and security is best nurtured within a familiar environment. With the right support, families can build the strength and resilience they need to thrive, keeping children safe and loved within their homes.

Our dedicated team works closely with families, offering tailored services designed to empower parents and guardians to create a stable and nurturing home environment. This holistic approach not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters long-term stability and well-being for the entire family.

Furthermore, we recognize the importance of cultural preservation and community connections and we actively collaborates with community leaders and Elders to integrate traditional practices and wisdom into our support programs. By honoring and incorporating these cultural elements, we help families maintain their heritage and instill a strong sense of identity and pride in their children, ensuring they grow up grounded and connected to their roots.
